Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before enrolling in any course offered by Tiger TEFL. By purchasing and accessing our courses, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

1. General Information

Tiger TEFL is a sole trader business registered in the United Kingdom, operating under UK tax law. Our courses are accredited by OTCAC (Online Training Courses Accreditation Council) and verified by CPD-verified (Continuing Professional Development).

By purchasing a course, creating an account, or using our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Privacy Policy. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Tiger TEFL.

2. Eligibility and Age Requirements

To enroll in Tiger TEFL courses, you must:

• Be at least 17 years of age at the time of enrollment
• Have sufficient English language proficiency to understand and complete course materials
• Provide accurate personal information during registration
• Have access to a reliable internet connection and compatible device

3. Course Purchase and Pricing

3.1 Pricing and Currency

Course prices are listed primarily in United States Dollars (USD) but may be displayed in multiple currencies for your convenience. The actual charge to your payment method will be processed in the currency selected at checkout and may be subject to currency conversion by your financial institution.

3.2 Price Changes

Tiger TEFL reserves the right to modify course prices at any time. Current promotional pricing represents discounted rates from standard pricing. Prices may increase in the future. Once you have purchased a course, the price you paid is locked in and will not be affected by subsequent price changes.

3.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy. Tiger TEFL does not store your complete payment card details.

3.4 Payment Confirmation

Upon successful payment, you will receive an email confirmation containing your course access details and receipt. If you do not receive this email within 24 hours, please check your spam folder and contact our support team.

4. Refund Policy

4.1 Refund Eligibility

You are entitled to a full refund if you request one within 7 days of your course purchase date, provided you have not progressed beyond Unit 2 of the course materials. Once you have accessed Unit 3 or any subsequent units, you are no longer eligible for a refund.

4.2 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us at admin@tigertefl.com with your order number and registered email address. Refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days and returned to the original payment method used for purchase.

4.3 Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable once purchased:

• Printed certificate service ($15 fee)
• Course access after Unit 3 has been accessed
• Course access after the 7-day refund window has expired

5. Course Access and Duration

5.1 Access Period

Upon enrollment, you will receive 6 months of access to your purchased course from the date of purchase. This access period begins immediately upon successful payment processing, regardless of when you first log in to the course.

5.2 Access Method

Course materials are accessible online only through our learning platform. You must have a stable internet connection to access course content. Course materials are not available for download, and offline access is not provided.

5.3 Access Expiration

After the 6-month access period expires, you will no longer be able to access course materials. We recommend completing your course and downloading your certificate before your access period ends. Tiger TEFL is not obligated to extend access beyond the 6-month period, though extensions may be granted at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.

5.4 Technical Requirements

To access our courses, you need:

• A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge - latest versions recommended)
• Stable internet connection with minimum speed of 5 Mbps
• Device: Desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone
• Email account for registration and communications

6. Account Security and Sharing

6.1 Personal Use Only

Each course purchase grants access to one individual student only. You may not share your login credentials, course materials, or account access with any other person. One course purchase equals one person certified.

6.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login information and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify Tiger TEFL of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

6.3 Account Termination

Tiger TEFL reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if we detect account sharing, fraudulent activity, violation of these terms, or any behavior that compromises the integrity of our courses or certificates. No refund will be provided for accounts terminated due to violations of these terms.

7. Certification

7.1 Certificate Issuance

Upon successful completion of all course requirements and passing any required assessments, you will receive a digital certificate within 12 hours. Certificates are sent to the email address registered to your account.

7.2 Certificate Format

All certificates are issued in digital format (PDF) and include an embedded QR code for verification purposes. This digital certificate is included in your course fee at no additional charge. You may print your digital certificate at home or through any printing service.

7.3 Printed Certificate Service

If you wish to receive a professionally printed physical certificate by mail, this service is available for an additional fee of $15 USD. This is entirely optional, as the digital certificate holds the same validity and can be verified via the embedded QR code.

7.4 Certificate Verification

All Tiger TEFL certificates include a unique QR code that can be scanned to verify authenticity. Employers, institutions, or other parties may use this QR code to confirm that the certificate was legitimately issued by Tiger TEFL.

7.5 Certificate Replacement

Because certificates are issued digitally and sent to your email, there is no need for a replacement service. You may access your certificate email at any time and print additional copies as needed. We recommend saving your certificate PDF in a secure location and keeping multiple copies.

8. Accreditation and Recognition

8.1 Accreditation Status

Tiger TEFL courses are accredited by OTCAC (Online Training Courses Accreditation Council) and our company by CPD-verified (Continuing Professional Development). Our accreditation information is accurate as of the date listed at the top of these terms.

8.2 No Guarantee of Acceptance

It is your responsibility to verify with prospective employers or relevant authorities whether our certification meets their specific requirements before enrolling.

8.3 Notarization and Apostille

To date, Tiger TEFL certificates have been successfully notarized and apostilled without issue for students requiring these services for international employment or visa purposes. However, we cannot guarantee future acceptance or processing, as these are handled by third-party governmental authorities beyond our control.

8.4 No Employment Guarantee

Tiger TEFL does not guarantee employment, job placement, or specific salary outcomes upon course completion. Our courses provide education and certification in TEFL teaching methods, but securing employment is dependent on numerous factors beyond our control, including local job markets, employer requirements, your qualifications, and economic conditions.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

9.1 Course Content Ownership

All course materials, including but not limited to text, graphics, videos, audio files, lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and any other content provided through Tiger TEFL courses, are the intellectual property of Tiger TEFL and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9.2 Limited License

Upon enrollment, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use course materials solely for your personal educational purposes during your access period. This license does not constitute a transfer of ownership.

9.3 Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or share course materials with others
• Record, screenshot, or create derivative works from course content
• Use course materials for commercial purposes or to create competing courses
• Remove or alter any copyright notices or proprietary markings
• Upload course materials to file-sharing platforms or public websites
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from our platform

9.4 Teaching Materials Usage

After completing your course, you may use the teaching techniques, methodologies, and general knowledge gained from the course in your own teaching practice. However, you may not reproduce or distribute specific worksheets, lesson plan templates, or other proprietary materials created by Tiger TEFL without written permission.

10. Student Conduct and Academic Integrity

10.1 Expected Conduct

Students are expected to complete all coursework honestly and independently. You must not engage in any form of academic dishonesty, including but not limited to cheating on assessments, plagiarism, or having another person complete your coursework.

10.2 Consequences of Violations

Violations of academic integrity or these Terms and Conditions may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, revocation of certification, and no refund of course fees paid.

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1 Service Availability

While we strive to maintain continuous access to our courses, Tiger TEFL does not guarantee uninterrupted access and is not liable for temporary interruptions due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control.

11.2 Disclaimer of Warranties

Our courses and services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Tiger TEFL makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of course content, though we make every reasonable effort to ensure quality and accuracy.

11.3 Limitation of Damages

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tiger TEFL's total liability for any claims arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the course in question. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

11.4 Third-Party Services

Our platform uses third-party services (such as Stripe for payment processing). We are not responsible for any failures, errors, or issues arising from these third-party services.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

12.1 Data Collection

Tiger TEFL collects only the personal information necessary for basic course enrollment, including your name, email address, and payment information. We do not collect excessive or unnecessary personal data.

12.2 Data Usage

We use your personal information solely for the purposes of:

• Providing access to purchased courses
• Issuing certificates upon course completion
• Communicating important course-related information
• Processing payments and refunds
• Improving our services and user experience

12.3 Data Sharing

Tiger TEFL does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except as necessary to process payments through Stripe or as required by law. We do not engage in marketing partnerships that involve sharing student data.

12.4 Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12.5 Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us, subject to our legal retention requirements.

Under UK data protection law, you have rights including:

Tiger TEFL reserves the right to discontinue any course or service. If a course you have purchased is discontinued during your access period, you will be notified and given reasonable time to complete the course or receive a prorated refund.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

14.1 Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Tiger TEFL services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us to attempt to resolve any disputes informally. Many concerns can be addressed quickly through direct communication.
